Before you jump ahead and start the order of your new package with your new provider, make sure you check the terms and condition of your current contract to ensure that you don’t incur any additional charges for switching from your current provider to secure one of the Plusnet broadband packages currently available. Many providers have a clause in the contract securing you and your custom for a certain duration of your 12, 18 or 24 month contract so be clued up on your contractual obligations before you start the switch.

If you are able to leave your contract then call your current provider and obtain the MAC code, this MAC code will ensure you to find the best package for you and make switching your current deal a much smoother transition. It also helps to be firm when requesting this code and asking to leave your contract, your current provider will want to keep you but if you find a broadband package that suits you better, be prepared to stick to your guns and speak up to pushy sales people!
